The new design comes with three major changes: the addition of a draft and scheduling system for assignments, projects, lessons, and announcements; a segmented list of submissions under the "Submissions" tab based on whether students can submit new work (status: LIVE) or not (status: CLOSED); and a project submissions grading design and flow making transitioning between students easier and more intuitive.

Note: we have a couple of things still in progress that we hope to add in a couple of weeks. For example, bulk actions at the course level, download all, run auto-grading for projects, and bulk date management.

Until today, grades were automatically sent to the student upon saving. We've changed this to provide you more control and flexibility when grading. After you've graded the submission, it will transition to "NEEDS TO BE RELEASED" and, using the bulk actions, you can select which students you want to release their grades to. We've expanded our LMS integrations to support submission grade syncing into Canvas, Moodle, and Blackboard. This integrations works at at the project and assignment level after you have integrated your course. Grades are sync automatically upon releasing the grade. To setup grade sync with Canvas go here.
